Post's nursing programs, and the hours inside each one
Post University's 2025-26 catalog asks 540 precepted clinical hours of the MSN FNP and AGPCNP and 630 of the PMHNP. The DNP counts 600 practice hours of its own, and each of the five other MSN tracks counts 400. The table sets the figures out; every program guide then walks through its courses, the right preceptor and when to start looking.

Reading the numbers
The NP figures are precepted hours with an approved preceptor, all in primary care for the FNP and AGPCNP and all in mental and behavioral health for the PMHNP. Post's catalog also prints a larger total practice-hour range for the NP tracks, which counts assessment and theory course hours; our clinical hours guide explains both.
The practice hours in the DNP and the other MSN tracks mix work with a preceptor, work without one and simulation, so not every hour needs a preceptor. The practice experiences guide sorts out which do.

Questions Post students ask
Which Post nursing programs need a preceptor?
All three MSN NP specializations, for every preceptorship course. Precepted practice experiences in the other MSN tracks and in the DNP also need one. The RN to BSN does not: its practice hours are practice learning experiences and simulation.
Does Post offer a post-master's NP certificate?
Post's 2025-26 program lists show none. The three NP specializations are MSN programs, and the DNP tracks are leadership and education doctorates rather than clinical NP programs.
Are Post's nursing programs online?
All of them. The American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences runs every nursing program online with no campus requirement, and clinicals are arranged where students live. NP courses do include some required live online sessions.
How long do the NP programs take?
Post advertises 28 months for the FNP and AGPCNP and 34 months for the PMHNP. The catalog's time limits are 36 and 42 months, so a delay in finding preceptors eats into a real margin.
